To all my friends in the Northern Hemisphere — hope you’re getting cozied up with the cooler weather! I’ve lived in a lot of climates that we more like “perfect” all the time, but I have to say, I love the change of season! It just feel right to have times of being out and about (oops….a little Canadian there), being super active, and then times to pull in a have a bit more rest and quiet time, kind of re-group. I’m enjoying being more in the home, and playing more with my essential oils too!
Here are a few things I’m using my EO’s for during this change of seasons:
1.) IMMUNE SUPPORT WITH doTERRA OnGuard oil blend
—so powerful–smells and tastes wonderful!
- A drop or two in my daily water bottle.
- A drop in some warm water with a little honey – delish tea!
- OnGuard throat drops if it feels scratchy.
- Purse-sized spray bottle with water & a few drops of OnGuard for throat spray or to spray any surfaces.
- Diffuse a few drops of OnGuard in my home to strengthen all of us.
MY STORY: A friend recently said: “When I first walked into your home it smelled so wonderful!”
(It was OnGuard! Think: Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary & Eucalyptus! Wow! That’s a great feeling!)
A short video about OnGuard
2.) DIY DRYER FRESHENER
Pulling out the winter blankets!! Put a few drops of essential oils in the dryer with them–delightful and fresh! Lavender anyone? Melaleuca (Tea Tree)? Citrus? Mint?
At times I’m wary of DIY stuff—how long will this take?? I just now made these super easy Dryer Sheets in about 10 minutes! I cut up an old pair of white cotton pants into squares. I hated to throw them out–such nice cloth–and they had been taking up space in my closet, and never worn.
Mix one cup of vinegar and a few drops of essential oil in a bowl.
3. Being at my desk…
By the way, I keep thinking someone needs to make an app whereby I can send aromas to your USB so you can sniff em while reading this! There almost is! You can find a LOT of little USB diffusers like this cutie online! I have an extra that I keep always in my carry-on for trips. So NICE to freshen the air in the room while traveling!
Well, my friend,
Be in peace.
Til next time!
